A genuine Tally dealer will always issue a GST invoice in your company name, activate the licence in your Tally.NET account (not his own), share the activation email from Tally Solutions with you, and provide a proper warranty and TSS entitlement.

Any dealer who insists on activating the licence 'from their side', asks for cash-only payments without a GST invoice, or sells 'unlimited-user Tally at half price' is almost certainly not authorised — and the licence you get from him will either be pirated, previously used or transferred to your business at your risk.
